Creationism 101 =
IRREDUCIBLE COMPLEXITY
Now class, do not fall asleep… The concept we will discuss briefly is information that you need in your arsenal as a smart Christian in regards to Creationism. The concept is IRREDUCIBLE COMPLEXITY.
Darwinism needs existing biological structures to have evolved in gradual steps from simpler structures – like feathers evolving from scales, or wings from forelegs. But many structures we see in living things are difficult to understand as the result of a gradual evolution.
In comes our concept… “a system is considered IRREDUCIBLY COMPLEX if it consists of several interrelated parts so that removing even one part destroys the system’s function.”
Like for instance a bat (the animal, not a baseball bat):
Evolutionists believe the bat evolved from a mouse whose forelimbs evolved into wings.
Think through this…
The mouse’s front limbs mutate and grow longer, and skin begins to grow between the toes. Now the mouse can’t run without stumbling, yet its forelimbs are not long enough to function as wings. So during this transitional stage, the mouse (which is soon to be a bat) has limbs too long for running and too short for flying. Since it (the mouse-bat) is unable to efficiently get around, it would be eaten by a cat-like creature and would become extinct…
So then we should have no bats… but yet we do have bats… the mystery continues!
It is difficult to explain how bat wings could have evolved – which may be why there is no geological evidence of the aforementioned “transitional” process; the first time a bat appears in the fossil record, it is fully formed, with wings.
Nature is full of these IRREDUCIBLY COMPLEX examples, suggesting that something beside the forces of random mutations and natural selection are generating complexity in nature.
I wonder what that something may be…

You should google this concept, it should be a valuable tool in your arsenal.
